Will this ‘Agneepath’ set fire?

When you think that the season of remakes is over, then, stop there! Because, there is yet another old hit to receive a make-over!

This time it is the 90’s super-duper blockbuster ‘Agneepath’. The movie had won several awards – Amitabh Bachchan won National Award for Best Actor, Filmfare Best Supporting Actor for Mithun Chakraborty and Rohini Hattangadi for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress.

The original Big B-Mithunda starring movie was directed by Late Mukul S. Anand, and now will be directed by Karan Malhotra, who was working as assistant to none other than Karan Johar. The sources revealed that the film will carry the same original essence and feel but with little changes. Little to disappoint is that Little B won’t be acting in this remake; instead it would be the green-eyed boy, Hrithik Roshan.

The movie will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and they are yet to decide on the other casts.

But the relief is that the movie is in the better hands and one can look forward to it, compared to other remakes like 'Don', 'Sholay'(Aag) which turned out to be flops.

Let’s see whether it creates a path of fire or extinguishes our high hopes.
